Today we talk about proof and debunking. One issue in today’s world is it being WAY too easy to fake a picture and video. And, so much of what you find on the internet is so questionable as to what is being seen.
A picture looks completely different at times than something it real life. We see things in 3d and when you mash it down to 2d, it doesn’t look the same. This leads to ‘seeing’ things in pictures that aren’t really there.
And the technology gets better and easier to use. Anyone can add to a video. Heck, just on Facebook chat you can add hair and hats and other accessories. In real time.
This leads to the problem that every picture and video can not only be faked, but can be questioned as to its validity. None of it is real proof and none of it will convince a skeptic.
We talk about several videos that have been around recently and try to figure out how real they are.
We talk about:
- How to evaluate photos and video
- Common ways to fake
- Being skeptical of what you watch
- Enjoying the videos regardless!
